If you’re looking for an easy way to quit smoking, you’re going to be searching for a long time. There simply is no quick and easy method. Every method takes real determination, hard effort, and ability to tough it out through a painful few weeks.

But quit-smoking hypnosis is the closest thing there is to an easy quitting method. Rather, I should say that quit-smoking hypnosis is the closest thing there is to an easy quitting method that actually works. Patches and gums sure are easy to use, but if you ask anyone who’s tried them, there’s a 90% chance that that person will still be smoking.

When you stop smoking with hypnosis, you actively alter the unconscious portion of your brain, and in the process you change your patterns of thinking, which in turn changes your patterns of behavior. It’s really that simple.

Most stop smoking hypnosis programs work in three stages:

1. Preparation: Before beginning your quit-smoking hypnosis, it’s actually best not to know much about how hypnosis works. Forget about any preconceived ideas you have about the process, and enter into it with a fresh mind and no expectations.

If you can, it’s a good idea to cut back on your smoking for a few weeks before starting hypnosis. If you’ve been trying to quit for a while, you probably know by now that the gradual draw-back method doesn’t work. But cutting back 25-50% is a good way to lead up to your hypnosis-assisted quitting.

2. Quit smoking and start sessions: However you choose to approach your quit-smoking hypnosis, the best approach is to do it in such a way that no more nicotine will enter your body from the moment you start your first session.

Again, when you use hypnosis, you change the patterns of your subconscious mind. If you continue to smoke, even just once or twice, after your sessions have started, there’s a good chance that the work you’ve begun will be reversed. Don’t take this chance. Start your sessions and quit cold turkey, all at the same time.
